CeraVe Skincare For Dry Skin | First Impressions

CeraVe Skincare For Dry Skin | First Impressions

Like most people I follow what Caroline Hirons says for skincare advice. Recently I was seeing the brand CeraVe be mentioned quite often so I thought I’d do a little bit of research. CeraVe is sold in Boots and Superdrug, as well as website like Look Fantastic and Feel Unique, with that it’s quite affordable compared to lots of the other brands which she speaks quite highly of. It’s got The Sunday Times Beauty Style Award for Best Skincare Brand 2021 and does loads of hydrating products, what’s not to love? I bought three products, PM Facial Moisturising Lotion,  Hydrating Cleanser and Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and these are my first impressions after a few weeks.

I love a moisturiser but have lots of night time moisturisers that are thick and more suited on their own. I liked the sound of this moisturising lotion as one that can be used at night time after a serum and under eye creams and all my skincare routine. It’s packed full of hydrating ingredients and is lightweight so sounded good to me. I don’t love the packaging. I’m not sure whether it need to be stored up right to work best or whatever but I’ve found already the pump isn’t working consistently. If it’s going to be in a squeezy tube just let me squeeze it out. Though I guess this is a little more hygienic. It’s definitely lightweight and I’ve found myself reaching for it in the morning too as it leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft.

I have never really used a cleanser like this. I was all about the hot cloth cleansers, the micellar waters and the Clinique balm once upon a time. I saw so many recommendations that I had to give it a go. It really does leave my skin feeling clean and not at all dry or tight. I’ve used it on its own but also with my Foreo Luna Play and PMD Clean and it works great. I’m converted by this gel-like cleanser and feel like my skin has benefitted from the change too.

This CeraVe product was one of the most raved about. Obviously the hyaluronic acid makes it a must have for dry/dehydrated skin and I’ve been loving this creamy gel serum already. The pump dispenser is a refreshing change from the pipette that loads of serums seem to have. I’ve used it both at night time and as a base before makeup. Both work well, sink right in and feel smooth and hydrating.

I bought these products on a 3 for 2 offer so spent just over £30 on the three products. The cleanser is going to last months and I can see myself buying all three again. Any other CeraVe products I need to get my hands on?
